Neema E. Kezilahabi is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AfroClean Energy, Tanzania, and a visionary leader in clean energy systems and sustainable development. With over 15 years of experience in operations, strategic planning, and program management, she has built a strong reputation for delivering impactful, scalable solutions that expand access to clean and reliable energy.
Neema holds an Executive MBA in Human Resource Management and Personnel Administration from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering & Environmental Geology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa—bringing together technical insight and strategic leadership in driving energy transformation.
She began her career at Atlas Copco Tanzania as a Human Resources & Training Manager, where she developed strong organizational and people management systems. She later transitioned into the renewable energy sector, taking on key roles at Powergen Renewable Energy and Rijk Zwaan Ltd, contributing to operational efficiency, program execution, and the advancement of clean energy initiatives.
Before founding AfroClean Energy, Neema served as Regional Director of Project Management at Energicity, where she oversaw multi-country operations and led the implementation of energy access solutions across diverse communities. She is known for her ability to translate strategy into impact, streamline systems, and consistently achieve organizational goals.
As CEO of AfroClean Energy, Neema is leading efforts to accelerate clean energy adoption, promote sustainable livelihoods, and drive inclusive economic growth across Africa. Her leadership is grounded in innovation, collaboration, and community-centered impact, alongside a strong commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.
